We have the new Zoppo bags now available to buy online. These bags hold everything you could possibly need for hockey and more! With two side pockets and a full length pocket, as well as a stick compartment that can hold masses of sticks - they are great!

These bags are the tried and tested design, but in new fabric and colours. Some of our customers who have the old version of the bag (and who are hot footing it here to buy a new one!) have taken this on tour to Belfast every year, and although they are girls, managed to get 2 sticks, 2 days hockey kit, 4 outfits for partying, straighteners, make up, beauty products and emergency shoes (in case the others didn't look as good with the evening outfit) - all in one of these amazing Zoppo bags!! We have just taken delivery of one of the most advanced transfer systems in the business - full colour tranfers of logos, names, numbers - anything can now be carried out in double quick time. Our old transfer machine is still being used too as we are so busy!

Yes, after a few weeks of boring integration issues.....zzzzzzz......our brand new shop is now live!

We are adding new products every week so keep checking back. By June, everything will be added including a brande new TEAM KIT ONLINE section - yes, for off the shelf products, say you want 15 gray hoodies with embroidery and naming, 15 tracksuits or 15 anything really - you'll be able to buy it online as well as selection of embroidery, numbers and names! I know - how good is that?!

For custom made kit, this is a bit more involved, so I'm afraid you'll still have to deal direct with the Purple Rock team - but they are very nice so its always a pleasure!!

Yes, after months of designing, re-designing and several prototypes later, the brand new Scottish Hockey official kit will be unveiled this weekend at the Celtic Cup at Peffermill in Edinburgh from 22-24th July. It has been tried and tested to get the right fabric, the right fit and the right look for the men's and women's squads. Purple Rock have been manufacturing kit to our customers specifications for years, but doing it for the National squads is a  bit special and we are very proud to be the official kit provider to the Scottish Hockey Union.

Anyway, what is the kit like we hear you cry? Well, the new ladies shirt is a sleeveless, performance fabric wonder! Yes it is really - white with royal side and shoulder panels. The men's is the same but with manly sleeves and a manly neck. And that's all we're saying! New socks too and a new tracksuit.......

We'll add pics of the teams in action in their new kit on Monday.

Purple Rock was the proud sponsor of the Argyll and Bute Games 2006 which were held in Dunoon on Friday 19th May 2006.

The opening ceremony was at Dunoon Stadium and various events were held in the local area including:

• Shinty
• Athletics
• Outdoor sports
• Golf
• Swimming
• Badminton
• Basketball

It was a great day and we were very proud to be involved. We allocated each participating school with a colour and kitted them out with special Games t-shirts.

We will publish pics when we get them. We were really impressed with the high standard of all the participants and look forward to next year!!

I was lucky enough to be there for the whole day and would like to thank the organisers for their fantastic hospitality.

Our lovely pals in the Royal Navy are just back from tour in Cyprus. And of course they got their lovely kit from us at Purple Rock. For any of you that know tennis, you'll know that Giffnock are one of the best teams in the UK. As well as kitting out the men's hockey teams, we are also proud to do lots with the club (Tennis, Squash and Hockey Club) including lovely custom made tennis shirts.

The men's 1sts were pictured recently on the front page (no less) of a popular newspaper with their lovely PR shirts on - not just because they are very good tennis players, but because they had a new recruit playing for them - the UK's highest ranked doubles player Jamie Murray, older brother of Andy. He's a member of the club and will be playing when his other commitments allow. Wow!

Good luck to the men and the rest of the club for the rest of the season!
